William J. (Billy) Farmer Jr., 87 of Golden City, Missouri passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024 at his home. He was born on August 10, 1937 in Lamar, Missouri to William J. and Nina (Hill) Farmer. Billy spent the first 18 years of his life in Golden City helping his Dad farm. He graduated in 1955 from Golden City High School. After high school Billy worked in Kansas City, then moved to Peoria, Illinois where he owned and operated an auto parts and paint store for 25 years. In 1993 he sold the store and moved back to Golden City where he farmed and raised cattle with his son until he retired in 2013. Billy was a member of the Golden City Baptist Church.

Billy was united in marriage to Shirley Alliston in 1961.She survives. Other survivors include, one son, Jess Farmer, one daughter, Beth Press, and two grandchildren, Drew and Elizabeth. He was preceded in death by his parents.
