Virginia "Ginger" Carter, 57 of Diamond, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Joplin Mercy Hospital. She was born on March 5, 1964 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Herbert and Jo Ann (Beeks) Welch. Ginger worked as a line attendant at Schrieber Foods.

Ginger was united in marriage to Doug Carter on December 31, 1986. He survives. Other survivors include two sons, Tyler Bunn, and Jesse Carter, three daughters, Shanda Scott, Nicki Hermann , and Caitlin Carter, and nine grandchildren.
