Velma Lorene Donnel, 92 of Carthage, Missouri passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Mercy Joplin Hospital , Joplin, MO.. She was born June 23, 1925 in East Purdy, Missouri to John and Bertha (Cook) Myers. She was a homemaker and attended the Carthage Church Of The Nazarene .
Velma was united in marriage to Ward Russell Donnel in 1948. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1965. Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Forsyth and Pat Dyer both of Carthage, MO.. She was preceded in death by her parents. Six brothers, Oral Myers, Troy Myers, Clinton Myers, Raliegh Myers, Lloyd Myers, and Guy Myers. Two sisters, Opal Haworth, and Pauline Myers.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 2:00 P.M.. at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Weng Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carthage, Missouri.
