Sarah Arletta Probert, 99 of Jasper, Missouri passed away February 29, 2020 at St. Lukes Nursing Center, Carthage, Missouri. Sarah was born December 3, 1920 in Barton County, Missouri to Clarence and Hattie (Gill) Murphey. She had worked as a cashier for A&P grocery store as a young woman and became a homemaker after marriage. Sarah was a member of the Jasper Christian Church.
Sarah was united in marriage to Lester Probert on March 27, 1954 at Seneca, Missouri. He preceded her in death on May 19, 2006. Survivors include, two sons, Steven Probert and wife Debra and Doug Probert and wife Kelly both of Jasper, MO.. A special friend, Tammy Wingo. Two step- grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Carrol Murphey, and three sisters, Loretta Sikes, Helen Rice, and Leora VanBummel.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Weng Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Weng Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Hackney cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Hackney Cemetery or Jasper Christian Church.
