Rachel G. Pennell age 81 of Jasper, MO passed away August 1, 2013. She was born December 1, 1931 in Willard, Missouri to Orden and Lassie (Gentry) Tummons. She was a former cook in the Jasper School system. She also worked at Maplewood Care Center in Jasper prior to retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jasper.
Rachel was united in marriage to Alfred Louis Pennell on February 20, 1951 at Bentonville, Arkansas. He Survives. Other survivors include one son, Ed Pennell of Jasper, MO.. One daughter, Irene Garcia of Tulsa, Oklahoma. One brother, Oren Tummons of Marshfield, MO.. One sister, Francis Dillinger of Springfield, MO.. Five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Kathy Ritchie.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 5, 2013 at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO.. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Weng Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Jasper, MO..
