Mary Katherine Sullivan age 86 of Carthage, MO. passed away September 26, 2013 at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, MO.. She was born February 2, 1927 in Sheridan, Indiana to Harvey and Harriet (Hancock)Rood. She was a Homemaker and was a member of the Center Point Christian Church, where she was very active.
Mary was united in marriage to Floyd Ray Sullivan on June 23, 1944. He preceded her in death on June 15,2013. Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Ellington of Atlanta, Georgia and Cheryl Matthews of Milford, Pennsylvania. Eight grandchildren and Five great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sons, Floyd Ray Sullivan Jr. and Larry Eugene Sullivan. One daughter, Candace Sue Monroe.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 30, 2013 at Center Point Christian Church. Minister Bob Teegarden will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 29, 2013 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at Center Point Christian Church. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Cicero Cemetery, Cicero, Indiana. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, Missouri.
