Louise Elizabeth Ott, 89 of Jasper, Missouri passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Mercy Hospital Joplin. She was born March 11, 1929 in Pipestone, Minnesota to Leighton and Mary (Pugh) Straw. Louise worked as a housekeeper at Carthage Water and Electric Company and cleaned several businesses and homes in the area. Louise was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Carthage, Missouri.
Louise was united in marriage to Raymond Ott on June 4, 1950 at Carthage, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 8, 2002. Survivors include one son, Raymond Richard Ott of Carthage, MO.. One daughter, Sara Payne of Olathe, KS.. One brother, Leighton "Bud" Straw. One sister, Esther Archer. Three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, George Straw and Albert Straw, one sister, Francis, a grandson, Ryan James Ott, and two great-grandchildren, Tyler Grant Everitt and Stephanie Dawn Shank.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Weng Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the funeral home prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery.
