Kathy Sue Helms, 68 of Oronogo, Missouri entered eternal rest with her Mom, Dad and her horses Lady and Flika on Friday, May 13, 2022 at her home. She was born on March 31, 1954 in Webb City, Missouri to John "J.C." Charles and Iris Almeda (Kirby) Bauer. Kathy graduated from Jasper High School with the class of 1972 and had worked as a supervisor for H.E. Williams, Carthage, MO. She had served on the Jasper R-5 School board and was a member of the Jasper Eagles Booster Club.

Kathy was united in marriage to Steve Helms on May 13, 1972. He survives of the home. Other survivors include one son, Jason Helms, one daughter, Camie Platner and husband Dr. Joshua Platner, one brother, Johnny Bauer and wife Janice all of Oronogo, Mo. Four grandchildren, Riley June Platner, Jaycee Edward Helms, Jerron Stephen Helms, and Mackenzie Jade Helms. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 from 6:00 till 7:00 p.m. at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, Missouri.
