Joseph W. Pennington, 80 of Lamar, Missouri passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, Missouri. He was born June 21, 1937 in Reeds, Missouri to Joseph Wilson Sr. and Margaret (Wilson) Pennington. Joseph was retired from the Carthage Poultry Plant.
Joseph was united in marriage to Lynna Bishop on March 27, 1956 at Carthage, MO.. She preceded him in death on August 3, 2016. Survivors include his six children, Joseph L. (Lynn) Pennington, James (Carol) Pennington, Scott (Sherry) Pennington, Pat Pennington, Kristy (Scott) Roehrs and Cindy (Dustin) Crockett. Twenty grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 10:00 A.M.. at Harvey Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, May 4, 2018 at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO..
