Jerrol Lee Cunningham passed on Sunday, March 31, 2013. He was a long time farmer, dairyman, and rancher of Jasper, MO.
Jerrol was born on October 26, 1934. He was a 1953 graduate of Jasper High School, where he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. On August 14, 1955, he married Rosa Wilson, who survives.
Other survivors include 3 children: Vicky Ulmer, husband Jim, of Jasper, MO; Ronnie Cunningham, wife Lisa, of Lamar, MO; and Paula Covey, husband Heath, of Carthage, MO. 7 grandchildren: Kristina Forst, husband David, of Lamar, MO; Julee Ulmer of Joplin, MO; Samantha Pennell of Lamar, MO; Drew Cunningham of Ozark, MO; Rylee Cunningham of Lamar, MO; Cody Covey of Pittsburg, KS and Courtney Tidball, husband Tyler, of Jasper, MO; 5 great grandchildren: Tamren Pennell, Emma and Ethan Forst of Lamar, MO; Madison and Bayli Covey of Pittsburg, KS; Sister: Viola Cloud, husband Dean. of Joplin, MO; Niece: Cindy Cloud of Joplin, MO; Nephew: Gary Cloud, wife Kerri and family, of Tallahassee, FL. Mother-in-law, Marie Wilson of Jasper, MO and a host of friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Homer and Frankie Cunningham and his father-in-law, V.L.Wilson.
During Jerrol's lifetime, he received several Soil and Water conservation awards for his efforts in preserving land. He served on the MFA Oil board and was President of the Mitchell Cemetery board for several years. Everyday he enjoyed life, family, and friends. He always had something to say to everyone.
Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 3, 2013, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO. Services will be Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Weng Funeral Chapel. Burial is to be in Mitchell Cemetery, east of Jasper, MO.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Mitchell Cemetery through Weng Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Weng Funeral Chapel. Online condolences' may be sent to www.wengfuneralchapel.com
