Jeff Scott Meadows 61, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024, in Joplin MO.  He was born May 8, 1963 in Lamar, Mo., to James E. Meadows and Carolyn Kay(Neil) Meadows.

Jeff, attended Liberal High School and graduated in 1981.  While growing up he worked on the family farm in rural Barton County and attended Nashville Christian Church, where he was baptized.  Jeff then furthered his education at MSSC majoring in marketing and management.  While attending college Jeff participated in the Campus Activities Board(cab) that was responsible for brining musical groups to Joplin, some being the bands, Chicago, Air Supply and numerous others.  Jeff enjoyed his time at Southern making several friends.  Ater college, Jeff moved from Joplin to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he accepted a position at Saks Fifth Avenue, then later a management position at Brooks Brothers, followed by a department manager at WIlliams-Sonoma.  Jeff was an excellent cook, had a good eye for interior design and clothing merchandising.  Jeff later moved back to Joplin and worked at Murrell Equipment Co., for a short period of time.

Jeff struggled numerous years with alcoholism, he is finally freed from this bond of addiction.  He is survived by his parents, one sister Becky Andrews(lynn), nephews, Jared Andrews(jaycee) Colby Andrews, one niece, Cassandra Calliotte(Brandon) and three great nephews and one great niece.

There will be a private inurnment at a later date.
