James Alan Milner , 72 of Webb City, Missouri passed away  on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, MO. He was born on June 28, 1949 in Lakehurst, New Jersey to Frank Daniel and Jane (PerLee) Milner. James worked as a technical advisor for the Social Security Administration in Kansas City, Missouri. James was a member of the Park Plaza Christian Church of Joplin.

James was united in marriage to Laura Butler on May 20, 2020. She survives. Other survivors include one son, Christopher Milner of Norfolk, Virginia, one daughter, Rebecca Turner of Liberty, Missouri, two sisters, Molley McCombs (Max), Merfi Barnhill (Bill), several nieces and nephews, and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Dan Milner.

Per Jame's wishes there was cremation. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Park Plaza Christian Church, 3220 Indiana, Joplin, Missouri.
