James Lee Honeycutt age 69 of Carthage, MO. passed away November 12, 2013 at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, MO.. He was born April 19, 1944 in Boone, North Carolina to Robert and Verna (Clark) Honeycutt. He was a retired laborer. James was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Carthage, MO.
James was united in marriage to Kathleen Leffert in 1976, she survives. Other survivors include His mother, Verna Honeycutt of Emporia, KS.. Two sons, Jason Honeycutt and Justin Honeycutt both of Orlando, Florida. One brother, Bill Honeycutt of the state of Oklahoma. One sister, Mary Wright of Emporia, KS.. and three grandchildren .
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Bible Baptist Church, Carthage, MO.. Pastor Kent Hogan will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Church. Burial will be in Fasken Cemetery.
