Gladys Smith, 102 of Jasper, Missouri passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at St.Lukes Nursing Center in Carthage, Missouri. Gladys was born on September 15, 1917 in Arkansas to Pleasant and Anna May (McCoy) York. She was a homemaker and a member of the Jasper United Methodist Church.
Gladys was united in marriage to Louis Smith on August 20, 1938 at Carthage, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 2, 1996. Survivors include a son, Max Smith ( Carolyn) of Carthage. One grandson, Kevin Smith (Jessie) of Jasper. Two great-grandchildren,Hattie Mozelle Smith and Clanton Louis Smith.
Private graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Waters Cemetery. Gladys will lie in state on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Weng Funeral Chapel from 10:00a.m. till 5:00 p.m. for people to pay their respects and sign the book.
