Georgia May McCormick, 90 of Carthage, Missouri passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at her home. She was born on March 20, 1931 in Alter, Colorado to George and Helen (Nighswonger) Grimes. Georgia was a homemaker. She was a member of the Avilla Methodist  Church of Avilla, Missouri.

Georgia was united in marriage to Dene McCormick on February 18, 1951. He preceded her in death in 2011. Other survivors include one son, Jerry McCormick of Carthage, MO, two daughters, Kristy Housh of Reeds, MO, and Connie McCormick of Carthage, MO, one sister, Aleene Walker of Grand Junction, Colorado and one granddaughter, Stacy Dennison and husband Wade. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dene, one son, Rick McCormick, and, one brother, Wildea Grimes.

Services will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Avilla United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 till 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Church prior to services. Burial will be at Harvey Cemetery.
