Eva Mae Babcock, 83 of Carthage, Missouri passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at her home. She was born July 8, 1933 in Pittsburg, Kansas to Perry and Ruby (Decker) Button. She was a retired salesperson. Eva was a member of the Center Point Christian Church.
Eva was united in marriage to James F. "Jim" Babcock on July 3, 1953. He preceded her in death on February 11, 2017. Survivors include one son, Jim C. (Regina) Babcock of Joplin, MO.. Two daughters, Teresa (A.D.) Henry and Mary Riley both of Carthage, MO.. Two brothers, John Button and David Button. Four sisters, Nancy Johnson, Diane Haynes, Patsy Stroud, and Betty Maddox. Grandchildren, Megan Henry, Joel Babcock, and Morgan Gilkerson. Great-grandchildren, Kash Calvin, Kendall Babcock, and Emerlynn Babcock. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jim Babcock, a son in law, Steve Riley and a grandson, Drew Babcock.
A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Center Point Christian Church. The body has been taken for cremation.
