Elwyn Arden Nixon, 91 of Jasper, MO passed away February 4, 2017. He was born December 27, 1925 in Jasper County, Missouri to Guy E. and Ada (Campbell) Nixon. Elwyn grew up on the family farm in Jasper, Missouri and was a farmer and raised black angus cattle. He loved gospel music and telling stories and tall tales for which he was well known for. Elwyn graduated from Golden City High School in 1944 and was a member of the Grace Pentecostal Church of Golden City.
Elwyn was united in marriage to Delores Opal Knell on February 14, 1948. She preceded him in death on October 20, 2008. Survivors include, Four daughters, Victoria Bennett, Sheila Potter, Tana Walters, and Tara Heiskell. Eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
