Ellen Nellie Wilson 94 of Carthage, Missouri passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 at her home. She was born April 27, 1922 in Carthage, Missouri to Walter DeWitt and Nellie Frances (Turner) Frost. She was a homemaker and a bookkeeper. Ellen was a member of the PEO Sisterhood, Red Hatters in Carthage, MO.Chapter LF, Methodist Women's Group and was a member of the Carthage United Methodist Church.
Ellen was united in marriage to Leonard Wilson on July 31, 1941 at Carthage, MO.. He preceded her in death on August 30, 1995. Survivors include a son, Tom Wilson (Alyce) of Kimberling City, MO.. One daughter, Kathleen Ortiz ( B.J.) of Carthage, MO.. One brother, Marvin Frost of Carthage, MO.. Two sisters, Dorothy Shull and Carolyn Johannes both of Carthage, MO.. Five Grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, Lucille and a granddaughter Julie.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Carthage United Methodist Church, Carthage, MO.. Burial will be in Fasken Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO..
