Ellen Nadine Mevius, 94 of Jasper, Missouri passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Lockwood, Missouri. She was born December 12, 1924 in Jasper, Missouri to Francis Edgar and Beulah May (Wood) Smith. Ellen was a homemaker. She was a member of the Nashville Christian Church.
Ellen was united in marriage to Robert Mevius. on June 1, 1946 at Greenfield, MO.. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2013. Survivors include, One daughter, Elizabeth Hundley of Bentonville, Arkansas. One son, Gary Mevius of Jasper, MO.. One sister, Velma Berryhill of Jasper, MO.. One brother, Robert Smith of Hemit, California. Four grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Joyce Mevius, brother, Richard Smith, and sister Beulah Etcheson.
Funeral services will be held at Weng Funeral Chapel on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 10:00 A..M.. The family will receive friends from 6:00 till 7:00 P.M. on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO.. Burial will be in Waters Cemetery.
