Douglas Leroy Beck, 76 of Jasper, Missouri passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, MO. He was born on October 8, 1946 in New London, Connecticut to Norbud and Marie (Drawbridge) Beck. Doug worked at Dyno-Nobel in Carthage, retiring in 2007. He was a member of the German Shorthair Pointer Club. Doug was an U.S. Navy veteran.

Doug was united in marriage to Connie Kahl on December 27, 1966. She survives. Other survivors include, one son, Bill Beck (Marcia) of Bella Vista, Arkansas, one daughter, Michelle Brown (Mike) of Carthage, Missouri, one sister, Sally Kahl of Jasper, Missouri, three grandchildren, Hayley Potthoff (Zach), Kai Beck, and , Zachary Beck. He was preceded in death by his parents.

As per Doug's, wishes there was cremation. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Fairview Christian Church, Carthage, Missouri from noon till 4:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Watered Garden's, Joplin, Missouri.
