Doris Ann (Chrisman) Lombard, age 91 passed from this earth to her heavenly home at 3:30 pm on Tuesday September 15, 2026, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.
Doris was born on March 24, 1935 to Thomas (Tate) E. Chrisman and Vera M. (Coates) Chrisman, La Russell, MO. She Married Carl M. (Pete) Lombard on September 12, 1953 in rural Carthage, MO.
She attended Bowers Mill, Elementary and High School at Sarcoxie. She was a dedicated member of Blake Baptist Church for over 70 years as the “Oldest living Member.”
She was a stay-at-home mother until her two sons left home, and then was a teacher at the “Little Folks” preschool at First Baptist Church in Carthage.
Doris enjoyed, Cooking, Baking, Crocheting, Knitting, Reading and of course teaching Sunday School and then always Vacation Bible School in the summer time.
Doris is survived by Her son Terry Lombard and Wife Caryl of Louisburg, KS.
4 Grandchildren; Derek Lombard and wife Hayley, Justin Lombard and wife Jill, Jana Lombard Moser and husband Patrick. And Kelsey Lombard Vanwagoner and husband Jacob.
11 Great Grandchildren: Mae, Cora, Jonas, Madelyn, Annabelle, Alivia, Mavis, Vivienne, April, Kensley, and Lane, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two siblings; AJ Chrisman, Erlynne, Chrisman Stirewalt and her son, Bruce W. Lombard
Visitation will be at 10am with Funeral Service following at 11am, Wednesday September 23rd at Blake Baptist Church with Jerry Mayfield and Kenji Harrington officiating. Buriel will follow at Avilla Cemetery.
Those honoring her life by serving as Pallbearers are Justin Lombard, Derek Lombard, Patrick Moser, Jonas Moser, Rob Chrisman, Ty Teegarden.
Honorary Pallbearers are John Stirewalt, Keith Maggard, Dave Lawyer, Larry Chrisman, Danny Chandler, Ronnie Chandler, Gary Abbott, and George Abbott.
