Carl 'Dale' Carter, 68 was born February 8, 1957 in Carthage, Mo. and passed May 23, 2025 in Lamar, Mo. He married Kathy Jane Onstott January 18, 1975. Together they had four children. Although they later separated, they remained friends. She survives.

Dale was like a cat with 9 lives. He continually challenged life. Throughout his life he struggled with substance abuse and all the trials that it brought. Even so, Dale was very likable and basically a good guy. He would give anybody the shirt off of his back. He was known to have the strength of Hercules and an unwavering faith in God.

Though his time was shortened by the health consequences of his addiction. Dale will never be forgotten. His absence will be deeply felt by his sons whom he had a close relationship with. Dale touched many lives and his memory will live on.

Dale had recently lost his beloved mother, Bessie Jones. He is survived by his father, Mack Carter, Neosho, Mo. Sister Kay Carter, Jasper, Mo., Brother Doug Carter, Diamond, Mo. Four children, Jenica Carter-Rush (Jeremiah) Dallas, Tx., Jessica Carter Jasper, Mo. Willie Carter, Lamar, Mo., and Jabeen Carter, Lamar, Mo. Seven grandchildren, Madison Rush, Dallas, Tx., Damian Markus, Carthage, Mo., Jaime Rush, Dallas, Tx., Maylee Rawlings, Lamar, Mo., Phinn Manko Jasper. Mo., Karma Carter Lamar, Mo., and Declan Carter Lamar, Mo.
