Brenda C. Fasken age 64 of Kansas City, MO. passed away December 11, 2015. She was born in Lamar, Missouri to Oscar E. and Sylvia Pauline (Zaerr) Fasken. Brenda went to school in Fulton, Missouri and graduated in 1968. She went to the University of Missouri Kansas City receiving a Bachelors Degree. While attending college she worked there and continued working there for 30 plus years. She retired in 2013. Brenda served on the University of Missouri College Credit Union for many years. She also volunteered for many years at the Kansas City Zoo.
In 1979 she joined the National Guard. She was in Phi Delta Kappa and was a true Kansas City Royals fan. Brenda loved to travel. She was in Europe with a chorale group, in Africa with the Kansas City Zoo, to Japan to visit with friends and many trips to Arizona for Royals spring training.
Survivors include a sister, Charlene Duran of Texas. Two nieces, Kym Traweek and Mary Kim. Nephews, Gary Craig Duren and Matt Fasken. Several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Michael Fasken.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Weng Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO.. Burial will be in Hackney Cemetery.
