Beverly Jean Baker, 61 of Jasper, Missouri passed away Monday, January 16, 2023 at her home. Bev was born July 10, 1961 in Carthage, Missouri to Carl and Doris (Isenmann) Shaw. She was a graduate of Jasper High School with the class of 1979. She worked for thirty years in banking and thirteen years in city government for the city of Carthage, city of Lamar as city clerk, city of Monett as city clerk. Bev was a past president of the United Way of Carthage, Co chair of the Carthage maple leaf festival, and was honored as woman of the year of Business and Professional Women. She was a member of Soroptimist International of Carthage, and the Business and Professional Women of Jasper. Bev was a member of the Jasper United Methodist Church.

Bev was united in marriage to Richard Baker in March 1981 to 2014. Survivors include, her father, Carl Shaw of Jasper, one brother, Leon Shaw (Mary) of Republic, MO., and Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Shaw on December 16, 2020.

Graveside services for Bev will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Hackney Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 6:00 till 7:00 p.m. at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO. Memorial contributions can be made to the Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
