Betty L. Wilson age 91 of Carthage, MO. passed away April 27, 2014 at Carthage Health & Rehab. She was born August 17, 1922 in Golden City, Missouri to Claude and Mae (Pelley) Howard. Betty was a teacher and guidance counselor in the Carthage school system for many years. She was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church of Carthage where she taught bible classes for over fifty years.

Betty was united in marriage to Willard Wilson on January 15, 1942 . He preceded her in death on January 31, 2003. Survivors include a son, Quentin Wilson. Two grandsons, Dax Wilson and Chad Wilson. Two granddaughters, Symonne Porras and Heather Dean. One great-grandson, Trestin Dean. Two great-granddaughters, Hanna Porras and Maddie Jo Porras .

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO.. The family will receive friends from 1:00 till service time Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Weng Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Fasken Cemetery, southeast of Jasper, MO..Memorial contributions can be made to the Cardinal Class Equipment Fund.
