Betty Jo Shaw, 83 of Golden City, Missouri passed away January 8, 2020 at her home. Betty was born December 8, 1936 in Everton , Missouri to Delbert and Golden (Mallory) Dimmitt. She was a homemaker and had worked at O'Sullivan Industries , Golden Glass and Golden Business Forms. She was a member of Grace Baptist church in Golden City.
Betty was united in marriage to Lyman Shaw on November 22, 1952. He preceded her in death on September 1, 1997. Survivors include, two sons, Larry Shaw (Jamie) of Lamar, MO. , and Johnny Shaw (Karen) of Golden City, MO.. Three daughters, Dixie Taylor (Bill) of Golden City, Goldena Taylor of Golden City, and Jerri Day (Kevin) of Lamar, MO.. Three sisters, Lorretta Jerome, Myrna Kessler and Billie Sue Taylor. Eighteen grandchildren, sixty three great-grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, John Dimmitt. Two son-in-laws, Jeff Day and Carlos Taylor.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, Missouri. The body will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Monday. Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery.
