Alle Jon "Jonnie" Harris , 87 of Carthage, Missouri passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020.Jonnie was born on April 29, 1932 in Clarksville, Texas to Henry Wyatt and Evie (Morgan) Vickers. She graduated from Bogota High School and was a homemaker. Jonnie was a member of the Victory Baptist Church.
Jonnie was united in marriage to George Wayne Harris on October 17, 1953 at Corpus Christi, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1997. Survivors include three sons, Larry Harris (Sheila) of Jasper, Ricky Harris (Mary) of Golden City, and Jerry Harris (Sandy) of Lamar. Two daughters, Vicki Punch (Bill) of Neosho, and Susan Payne (Bryce) of Eldorado Springs. One brother, Ken Vickers (Shirley) of Bogota, Texas. One sister, Pat Cox (Eugene) of Detroit, Texas. One sister-in-law, Dorothy Wirth of Golden City. Eight grandchildren, Brandon, Aaron, and Jeff Kemm. Chad, and Kelly Harris. Bryan, and Travis Payne and Amber Johnson. Thirteen great-grandchildren, Isaih, Alle, Hanna, Ashley, Ella, Jasper, Jake, Weston, Preslee, Tatumn, Cooper, Adelaide, and Cru. She was preceded in death by a son, Teddy Harris. Two brothers, Wayne Vickers and H.W. Vickers. One sister, Thelma Baker.
Private graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Lamar, MO. Jonnie will lie in state on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 from 10:00a.m. till 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday, from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Weng Funeral Chapel for people to pay their respects and sign the book. Memorial contributions can be made to Victory Baptist Church in care of the funeral chapel.
