Albert Thomas Ashton, 81 of Carthage, Missouri passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, MO. He was born on February 26, 1940 in Springfield, Missouri to Fred and Lorene (Roberts) Ashton. Al had worked as an insurance agent for many years and as a people greeter at Wal Mart in Carthage for many years. He graduated from Willard High School. Al attended the Union Fellowship Church of Carthage.

Albert was united in marriage to Betty Blankenship on September 15, 1975. She survives. Other survivors include four sons, Keith Ashton, Kenneth Ashton, Jeffrey Grace, and Matthew Dysinger, four daughters, Kimberley Evans, Kathy Tobin, Rebecca Kimbel, and Jennifer Inman, a sister-in-law, Betty Ashton, sixteen grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jim Ashton, and a daughter, Lisa Sexton.

Per Albert's wishes there was cremation. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, Missouri.
